The company Marwan Shipping & Tr. Co. LLC, operating under the laws of the United Arab Emirates and owned by UAE Nationals. Founded in 1987 and headquartered in the emirate of Sharjah.
Marwan Shipping & Tr. Co. LLC Group has rich experience of over 40 years in owning, managing, chartering, shipbuilding, and demolition business. The company started with a vessel of 1200Dwt and has since expanded its fleet to include various types of vessels such as General Cargo, Dry bulk carrier, Tanker, MPP, RO-RO, Container vessels, and offshore support vessels. In the early 2000s, Marwan Shipping & Tr. Co. LLC Group operated the Passenger RO-RO Container line (Marwan Lines) also between major Ports in the Arabian Gulf and also provided shipping services to East Africa with General Cargo and Containers regularly. Additionally, our General Cargo / MPP vessels were successfully chartered for a food aid programme initiative in East Africa.
Since 2000, Marwan Shipping & Tr. Co. LLC Group has been actively involved in new shipbuilding business. Initially, the company has leased shipyards in Far East, India, and Bangladesh and built various types of vessels including Anchor Handling Tugs, Container vessels, Utility Crew Boats, Tankers, and more under IACS. Additionally, we have incorporated a JV shipyard in Goa, India to expand our shipbuilding capabilities, and we are currently working on multiple projects at our facilities in India and Bangladesh. We are also exploring opportunities to establish a shipyard in the UAE/GCC region to enhance our competitiveness in shipbuilding in our homeland. Our offshore support vessels that we have built are chartered by various clients across the Middle East for leading petroleum companies.
